The Ruffino’s proudly claim the title of one of the largest Italian American families in New Orleans, undoubtedly the largest and most tightly knit clan in the French Quarter.

History of Ruffino's Fine Foods

In 1890, Signor Giuseppe Ruffino and his wife Teresa arrived in New Orleans, settling promptly in the 600 block of St. Philip. 73 years later, six out of their ten children resided or ran their businesses in that very block. This pic represents 2nd and very young 3rd generations.
